The operation was on Saturday night and I went to see him before the operation with my mum and girlfriend. His leg had got very bad over the previous 3 days and the wound had become infected and was rapidly declining.

Luckily it looks like the antibiotics are doing their thing and although he was in a lot of pain due to the sheer quantity of infected tissue that had to be dug out he was in a fairly good mood last night and feeling much better this morning.

In 2-3 days he will be having a skin graft to cover the affected wound. The doctors estimate he will be out of action for around 6 weeks, so do please bear with us with answering phones and emails.
