Last night I decided to dig out an old game I had for PS2, Auto Modellista. The sole reason I got it was because of the cel-shaded graphics which blew me away. Although it's not exactly new (I think it came out in 2002) apparently it was a complete flop anyway, due to the less than adequate handling characteristics of the cars.
Of course, the Mazda MX5 is featured together with the usual Japanese racers (Sylines, RX8s, Supras etc) but they even include some of the older models (the drifter's favourite AE86 Trueno is even in there).
Nevertheless, I think it's a great looking game and you can pick it up really cheap now on eBay and Amazon.co.uk


 OK, this is the only screenshot I could find with an MX5 in it. Yes, I know it looks rubbish!
