OK today David isn't in so I will be a little busy, but hopefully I'll get some time to add the full catalogue of hoods onto the shop website and work on some of the DVDs I have planned.

Priority is the Mk2 hood fitting DVD which is a little tricky as I have to effectively have 2 DVDs in 1 (for fitting to the Mark 1 and Mark 2, which have slightly different frames and removal procedures).

I've had plenty of feedback from the first hood fitting DVD (for the Mk1) so I think I got it right pretty much first time. Several other hood and parts suppliers have asked for an unbranded version so they can sell it with their hoods without the 'www.dandycars.com' watermark I plastered everywhere on it.

As for the other DVDs I'm going to start preparing and gathering information for the Mk1 Servicing DVD I have planned. The thing that separates my intended version of the DVD (as I think it will be the first for the MX5 as far as I know) from other DVDs is that I am gathering photographic comparisons of different conditions of the parts. I mean - if you've only ever seen one MX5, how do you know that rust spot or wear is bad? How bad is 'bad'? With no yardstick for comparison the general public have no concept of the condition of their car.  And that's where our expertise will (hopefully) set our product apart from the rest. We already have a loyal following of customers who bring their cars to us for servicing (as far afield as Bristol and Liverpool!) and I'd like to be able to provide the same level of service and knowledge for those people who cannot bring their cars to us but would like some guidance on how to care for their 5.

Also I will do my absolute best to make the DVD accessible to those who only possess basic tools. Getting access to the underneath of a car is easy when you have 3x car ramps but a little trickier if you only have a little car jack.

Anyway, I've got some work to do!
