OK some of you may have noticed that another news section has appeared under the normal 'News Blog' on the front page.
I did this to separate the shop news from the workshop and car news, so new products will be announced here. The news here is fed directly from the online shop homepage circled (or rather 'rounded rectangle'd below in blue):
By clicking the little 'RSS' logo button (which looks like this: on the shop website, pointed out with the big red arrow above) and depending on your browser you will be able to get the latest shop news directly picked up by your favourite RSS reader. IE7 has an inbuilt reader I think, but for Firefox you'll have to download an extra extension. The latest eBay auctions shown on the homepage are also fed directly from eBay using RSS onto the Dandycars.com site. Very clever. And incredibly easy to set up. And for those of you that don't know what RSS is, see the wikipedia entry here. Put simply, an RSS reader will trawl your favourite sites and gather the latest news, articles, photos, or whatever, that is added to the site (this all depends on whether the site has RSS capabilities, which ours do). When I get the time I will add the RSS feeds for this news blog (although I did try earlier and just got immensely wound up when it didn't work), so maybe when I feel a bit better (yes, I should've gone home 2 hours ago and I still feel crappy from food poisoning).
